On a Windows calculator you can perform exponentiations

To calculate 23 = 8
2 xy 3 3 = 8
and you get this also for
2 ↑ x3 8
Example 2
To enter 00
0 xy 0 0 = 1
This is correct, as per definition is determined that 00 ≝ 1.
Example 3
To calculate 2−1 = 0.5 where you have a negative exponent
2 xy 1 ± -1 = 0.5
what you can also calculate as the reciprocal of 2
2 ↑ 1/x 0.5
or by the division 1 ÷ 2
1 ÷ 1 2 = 0.5
